Faith and Perseverance in Extreme Minimalist Living
Wednesday Oct 06, 2021
Wednesday Oct 06, 2021
What would you be willing to do to get out of debt? Could you be as extreme as our next guest? Nikolas lived in a 1986 Suburban eating frozen fish sticks and one PBJ every three days so that he could pay off his student loads in under a year! That’s taking the minimalist lifestyle to the extreme! Talk about a tiny house! And Nikolas did it before it was cool.
Nikolas shares his crazy adventures with us to encourage us that we can meet even our outlandish goals through faith, perseverance, and grit.
About Nikolas
Nickolas Natali is a comedic content creator, small software business owner and people lover from Southern California. Nick began making short films in 7th grade when he got his hands on his first phone, The Envy 2. He began writing and filming short comedy skits with his friends and eventually created a Youtube Channel in 2010. As he matured, so did his content. From comedy skits to social experiments to vlogs to comedic commentary – Nick tailors his content creation to how he believes he can best influence, entertain, and inspire his audience.
Nick attributes the majority of his success and character development to his friends and family that encouraged and believed in him even when he didn’t.
For the past 10 years Nick has been creating online content and honing his skills in videography, editing, writing and hosting. All of his content is created with the purpose to positively impact his audience. Nick desires for his audience to be left feeling uplifted, educated, or valued after watching.

From Addict to Author: Transform Your Life From the Inside Out with MK Morales

Transform your life from the inside out!
MK Morales went from being an addict to an author of the book, Becoming Woman of Principle: Transforming Your Mind, Living Courageously and Rising to Your Call. She now coaches others on how to transform their lives by changing the way they think and and answering the call for who they are meant to be.
About MK
I am Mary Katherine (MK). I am a non-profit executive, author, speaker, and certified coach/trainer.
More importantly, I am a woman of God, a devoted wife and mother, and Woman of Principle who knows the power of transforming your life. For 15 years, I’ve been equipping and empowering women – just like you – to embrace their journey of becoming all God is calling them to be!
However, my life wasn’t always so inspiring.
When I was 14 and I heard a whisper in my spirit tell me that I would write a book, I had no idea it would be a book based on my mistakes and the journey through fear, anxiety, and self-doubt.
I heard the call a second time in my late twenties while suffering as a heartbroken addict. I was shouting to God for help and the Spirit of Love almost audibly stated, “You will recover, and you will write a book about your journey through hell to home.”
“Yeah, right,” was my response.
I swore I would never tell anyone about the degree to which I failed – repeatedly.
But today, I have dedicated my life to empowering rising women of faith to explore their full potential and become the leader God is calling them to be.

Perseverance in Overcoming Obstacles with James Perdue

Podcast Episode with James Perdue, the Professor of Perseverance
When life is difficult and painful, it’s tempting to throw in the towel and just quit trying. However, the sweetest rewards come when we persevere in spite of our obstacles. James has such an inspiring story of not giving up, even when doctors said he would never walk again and should move into a nursing home at age 19.
A bleak diagnosis wasn’t enough to stop James, who is now known as the Professor of Perseverance. Not only did he walk again, he also earned his doctorate after having to drop out of college, and coached basketball even though he had been a football player. We can all learn from his loving approach to mentoring challenging teens.
If you’re in a difficult season and considering giving up, be encouraged by James’ example. James has survived three suicide attempts, so he knows what it’s like to hit rock bottom. He is not a superhuman. He is a regular guy who refuses to quit and is making a tremendous impact on those who see and follow his example.
About James
Dr. James Perdue, Professor of Perseverance, is the author of several books and the host of the Professor of Perseverance Podcast.
On September 11, 1983, James became a quadriplegic, dislocating three vertebrae in his neck, from playing a football game. The doctor said, “James, I’m sorry. You’ll never walk again and you might be paralyzed from your neck down.” Later, the doctor advised his family to place him in a nursing home; he would be too much of a burden for them to take care.
Dr. James Perdue, Professor of Perseverance, worked hard to achieve success as a teacher and coach. He has been awarded Fox 17 Top Teacher of the Week 2005, Teacher of the Year 2002, as well as, Coach of the Year 2006 and 2000. He received the Jo Andrews Award 1995 and the Hal Ramer Award 1991 both for overcoming adversity. He received his doctorate degree, in May 2011, from Tennessee State University.
His demonstration of not giving up and striving through major challenges is apparent. The Professor of Perseverance knows he can help others pass through to the other side of tragedies to triumph and become survivors of difficulties.

The Other Side of Perfect
The Mind-Body Connection to Healing Chronic Illness with Debbie Emmick
The Other Side of Perfect is a brutally honest and revealing peek into the life of a woman whose multiple diagnoses and bleak prognosis would be the surprising source of her ultimate liberation. After trying everything she knew to recover from the physical damage of autoimmune diseases–medication, nutrition, fitness, reducing stress–Debbie found her health continuing to deteriorate and in the deepest depths of depression she’d ever experienced. In her desperate attempt to claw her way out of hopelessness, this people-pleasing perfectionist stumbled upon her greatest source of self-healing yet–resurrecting the past to heal the future.
She’ll lead you through how following her intuition allowed her to finally process the repressed trauma of her childhood, ultimately healing her mind and body at once. Her story will show you that it was only through stripping away all the protections she surrounded herself in, to expose her most authentic, vulnerable self, that she was able to move beyond superficial health and toward something more meaningful and sustainable. Debbie takes us along with her in her own self-discovery that her adversity was her greatest gift, pointing the way to her freedom all along.
About Debbie
Debbie Emick is author of The Other Side of Perfect: Discovering the Mind-Body Connection to Healing Chronic Illness and co-creator and blogger at gobucketyourself.com. She is co-host of the ‘One Life. Live It!’ podcast.
